An interview in English with author Yukio Mishima, speaking of Japanese cultures simultaneous love of beauty and brutality and ominously of hara-kiri, or Samurai suicide, cutting the belly with a sword to die with honor instead of at the hands of their enemy. Mishima ended his life this way after a failed coup d’etat of the Eastern Japan Self-Defense Forces.
